The Fuller Lakes trail is not one that I'd previously heard much about. I'm not really sure why though. The trail starts right off from the highway but quickly climbs to offer elevated views of both Skilak and Hidden Lake just to the south. After winding through wooded areas along a few small streams, the trail flattens out and runs the edges of two clear, cold lakes tucked back in the mountains.

At the second lake, we saw three Dall Sheep near the top of the ridge on the left side of the photo above. Unfortunately, I didn't have a long enough lens with me to get images of them, but we did get to watch as they grazed and slowly scaled a rocky portion of the hill.
