Wolverine Peak

Last weekend, the weather was amazing. Really, it's been perfect for a few weeks now (knocking on wood). And not that I didn't get out for plenty of hikes and cabin trips over the winter, but when summer finally hits up here, you really feel it. More than anywhere else I've ever been. So, with the snow finally melting in the hills, I wanted to get out for a real hike.

The beauty of Wolverine is that it's less than a half hour's drive from downtown Anchorage, so it has great views of the city as well as the Chugach and Cook Inlet. The peak itself is 5.5 miles out from the trailhead and around 3500 feet above. The image is a pano just shy of 360 degrees taken between the saddle and the peak.
