The first Jamaican competitor in Iditarod history. Newton Marshall seemed to be having a blast. He had a smile on his face all day.
As things started to die down, I shot over to a park to get a few of the riders going by. At this point, the clock's not ticking. You'd never know it from the way the dogs are pulling, but the mushers were high-fiving, throwing candy to kids, and chatting as they cruised by.
