My first post on this sort of has to be my images from Iditarod. I've been to the Anchorage start before, but this year was a bit different. I was given a media pass that allowed me to work my way through the staging area before the starts. It really was kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Multiple time top-ten finisher, Dee Dee Jonrowe. A cancer survivor and crowd favorite.
Four-time Iditarod champ, Jeff King.
The first Jamaican competitor in Iditarod history. Newton Marshall seemed to be having a blast. He had a smile on his face all day.
As things started to die down, I shot over to a park to get a few of the riders going by. At this point, the clock's not ticking. You'd never know it from the way the dogs are pulling, but the mushers were high-fiving, throwing candy to kids, and chatting as they cruised by.
